Dr. Aida Glatter-Götz

After her residency, Dr. Glatter-Götz continued working full-time as a staff optometrist at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center and then later at the New Port Richey Veterans Outpatient Clinic in affiliation with the James Hailey VA hospital in Tampa, Florida.

Dr. Glatter-Götz, her husband, and their three young children lived in Landstuhl, Germany from 2012 – 2016 where she worked at the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center (LRMC), the largest US military hospital in Europe, as a full time civilian optometrist. There she provided eye care to the active duty personnel, the veteran and civilian population and their family members while working closely with ophthalmologists and numerous other medical disciplines including ER medical doctors. During her time at LRMC, she was the main provider in fitting specialty contact lenses for post-surgical corneas, corneal ectatic diseases (keratoconus, pellucid marginal degeneration, etc.), highly astigmatic corneas. Also, she fit scleral lenses in management of dry eyes.

Throughout her career, Dr. Glatter-Götz has been actively involved in the clinical and didactic education of optometric students and residents, initially as an adjunct faculty member at the Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry, and in later years, as an adjunct professor for the Pacific University College of Optometry.

After four years overseas, Dr. Glatter-Götz and her family returned home to Florida, and are excited to be closer to family and friends. She joined Ritz & Johnson Eyecare in August 2016, and looks forward to providing her patients with many years of excellent eyecare.
